Swalling completed the Norton Sound Health Corporation (NSHC) Operations Building using the Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) project delivery method in collaboration with NSHC, DOWL, and Bettisworth North. Swalling performed extensive pre-construction services, including design and constructability reviews, cost estimating, and value engineering, as well as follow-on construction on an accelerated 16-month timeline. Swalling completed the project on time and within the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP).

The NSHC Operations Building is a centralized, multi-purpose maintenance facility serving Norton Sound Regional Hospital and NSHC assets in the region. The 15,000 SF facility provides maintenance of ambulances, fleet vehicles, and specialty equipment; warehouse space for materials storage; a laboratory for water testing; and administrative spaces for NHSC’s maintenance departments.
